Got some changes going on in here for once. So onto Wanda and her Dumbasses (I'm including myself in the Dumbasses).
Eddie Munson
- From the Netflix show Stranger Things. You might have heard of it.
- Showed up in season 4 as the cool senior x2 (making him about 20ish) who takes some of our Stranger Things bbs under his wing to show them how the big boys play D&D. And then he finds out these kids are into some weird shit with, like, other dimensional beings and the like.
- One of those freaks your mother warned you about in the 80's: long hair, tattoos, into heavy metal, wears a lot of jewelry. Like a land pirate.
- Also has a shitload of scars on his chest thanks to demobats.
- Despite being held back twice senior year, is not a complete idiot, he's just more interested in things other than schoolwork.
- Big flirt! Men, women, he does not care, you're getting winked at and possibly a pet name. He's kind of obnoxious, and really doesn't care if people think he's a weirdo.
- A genuinely very nice person, good with kids, and despite what he says, is pretty brave.
- However, he knows he's not the fighter in the group and will stay behind while other people go out with guns and stuff.
- Very good at shredding on the guitar. Dude loves heavy metal.
- Manages Fast Eddies and by that I mean he will be posting on Fridays for people to bowl/play games/etc. As per usual if you want your character to post for something more private or outside of Fridays, go for it.
- Ugh I think he's so cute look at his big ol' brown cow eyes.
Wanda Maximoff
- From the MCU, specifically after the events of WandaVision, coming up on Multiverse of Madness.
- So timeline-wise she's from aroundish the same time as Marc/Steven and Jane, but waaaay ahead of everyone else. I'm going pre-Endgame vs post-Endgame when I say "aroundish".
- Her history is basically trauma, trauma, and more trauma.
- She speaks with an American accent but is from the fictional country of Sokovia. She'll slip into it when the plot calls for it.
- She is in Fandom, working at a magic shop and trying to learn more about her powers. There is a 12 foot skeleton named Jeff outside the shop year-round BTW.
- When she is not at work, she is in her apartment reading the Darkhold. Little does she know it's actually causing her to lose her mind the more she reads it. Fun!
- Bolded for emphasis: She's starting to get more antisocial, paler, dark circles under her eyes, and wearing her Scarlet Witch uniform like it's normal clothes. Wearing some banging make up tho. While under the influence of the Darkhold she will become less friendly, won't take kindly to criticism, and god forbid you get in her way.
- Shit will be going down. Eventually. And off island.
- Wanda is a pretty friendly, secretly goofy, person when not influenced by an evil book. But she can have a bit of a temper and has an exaggerated sense of revenge, much like John Wick.
- Ugh I think she's so cute, especially when she's threatening to kill people.
Wanda was exposed to the Mind Stone which not only gave her cool powers, it amplified the chaos magic powers she was born with! This includes:
- Energy blasts, telekinesis, force-field generation, flight, mental manipulation, and telepathy
- Wait, there's more! Her chaos magic allows spontaneous creation, reality manipulation, teleportation, transmutation, energy absorption and astral projection.
- Thanks to the Darkhold, she's getting better at casting spells and placing runes, etc.
- When using her powers there will be red vapor/mist coming from her hands, and often her irises will glow red as well. Her powers are reliant on her focus and movement, so she can be stopped by someone physically restricting her or distracting her -- though I do tend to keep her out of plots where she can solve the whole thing with a garish wave of her hand because that's not fun for anybody.
Diego Hargreeves
- From The Umbrella Academy, where he is a member of the aforementioned Umbrella Academy
- One of seven children. Four of them are now living a little off island in a house that his fiancée is paying for. Thanks, Annie!
-apocalypsehow is one of those siblings.
- A hot-headed himbo
- He's got superpowers! Has the ability to manipulate the trajectory of anything he throws, and can now do cool stuff like stop bullets. The more time he spends with his siblings the more power he gets.
- Has been trained to fight since birth, and is very agile and now is even *better* at fancy flips and twirls thanks to hanging out with his siblings.
- Engaged to the lovelydefenderofdesmoines, wedding October 15th, 2022 y'all are invited.
- One of your local law enforcement. Not very good at his job.
- Just finished season two! Didn't save JFK, did get cool hair which we will be waving goodbye to soon because I need more icons.
- Ugh, I think he's so cute even when his fingers are hacked off.
Evan Buckley…call him Buck
- Is from the Fox show 9-1-1, which follows several branches of emergency services. Buck belongs to the 118 firefighter squad.
- He takes his job very seriously. It doesn't seem like it, but he does.
- For the most part he is a very easygoing, idiot savant of a himbo
- Can't do math, but has a deep knowledge of natural disasters after surviving a tsunami to the face.
- Just one of the nicest dudes. Sometimes his mouth runs away from him but it comes from the heart.
- He also has a distinctive birthmark over one eye. He's heard all of the jokes about it, and it doesn't bother him
- Lives with his bffjustalittlerepressed and they are Very Close.
- Do you have a bad idea? Great, Buck's in, just tell him when and where to be.
- Ugh I think he's so cute with his stupid smile and general face area.
Sam
- Work in construction but not, like, building shit myself so I can ping from work fairly quickly. Even when I say I'll be slow, I'm actually not that slow. I'm just slow enough to give myself anxiety over people thinking I'm too slow.
- However, I tend to drop off after the work day because I kind of go home and melt into my couch, X-box controller in hand. It's not you, it's me, and my need to go to sleep at 8pm. But feel free to nudge me via e-mail or discord if you want to keep things going! Or if you want my people involved in your plots/posts just point me where to go and I will be there.
- I watch a shitload of TV and like to pressure people to watch what I'm watching. Like, maybe a support group should be started among some of you.
