OOC: I'll get the train started, sure
New lady! From a giant canon! Let's do this for the few people who weren't slapped in the face with the MCU over the last thirteen years.
Wanda Maximoff
The Scarlet Witch. Avenger. Mom.
- From the MCU, specifically after the events of WandaVision
- Which means she is waaaaay ahead of the other MCU people canon-wise, in the way off year of 2023. Don't worry, she can keep a secret
- Her history is basically trauma, trauma, and more trauma. She's actually much friendlier than she has any right to be
- She speaks with an American accent but is from the fictional (now destroyed) country of Sokovia. She'll slip into it when the plot calls for it
- Super recently accidentally-kind-of trapped an entire town in her own alternate reality based off the sitcoms she watched as a child
- This was set off by a chain of traumatic events where she had to kill the love of her life, watch him be resurrected, watch him die again, and then she loses five years of her life thanks to being blipped out of existence
- So, yeah. Instead of much needed therapy she created her own AU in New Jersey, against the will of the inhabitants. There she had her perfect life, perfect husband and two superpowered kids...but alas it was not meant to be. After fighting a witch, learning that *she* was a witch and the government threatening to take her down, Wanda returned the town back to normal, lost her (real to her) family, and fled New Jersey with a book of magic that she stole from that witch she fought
- Now she is in Fandom, working at a magic shop and trying to learn more about her powers
- As stated above, Wanda is a pretty friendly, secretly goofy, person. She can have a bit of a temper if she feels threatened but has recently learned a very hard lesson about what happens when you don't handle your emotions in a productive way so, yeah, not going to be a problem here
- She's made a lot of mistakes in her past, and has a lot of guilt about it. This, along with the general shitshow that is her life, means she can get kind of melancholy and holy hell when will someone hire an Avengers therapist
Okay, powers!
Wanda was exposed to the Mind Stone which not only gave her cool powers, it amplified the chaos magic powers she was born with! This includes:
- Energy blasts, telekinesis, force-field generation, flight, mental manipulation, and telepathy
- Wait, there's more! Her chaos magic allows spontaneous creation, reality manipulation, teleportation, transmutation, energy absorption and astral projection. It's a lot!
- She's untrained, but can cast spells and runes and that is what she is in Fandom to learn
- When using her powers there will be red vapor/mist coming from her hands, and often her irises will glow red as well. Her powers are reliant on her focus and movement, so she can be stopped by someone physically restricting her or distracting her
- My favorite power of hers is that she can get in and out of her Scarlet Witch uniform via magic! And it makes her hair bigger!
- She is very hesitant to use her powers that will fuck with people's minds especially after the events at Westview, so you won't see those a lot
And now a rundown of the other two and myself.
John Silver
Long John Silver. Pirate. Thief.
- Your friendly neighborhood pirate
- Is from Black Sails where people are generally scared of him, but you wouldn't know it here
- Missing his left leg from the knee down, but is usually wearing a prosthetic and long pants. Does walk with a slight limp
- Works at the Devil's Nest on Sundays
- Datingthatwaslucky. Seems weird on paper, but they are two sides of the same coin
- His superpower is repressing anything that even slightly bothers him and moving on with his day
- Seriously, he's pretty friendly for being a famous literary villain, feel free to talk to him
Diego Hargreeves
Number Two. The Kraken. Local Dumbass.
- From The Umbrella Academy, where he is a member of the aforementioned Umbrella Academy
- One of seven children. Has only spoken to two of his family members in the last decade (excluding his android mom and chimpanzee mentor). It's all very complicated
-apocalypsehow is one of those siblings. They care about each other deep down
- An excellent example of what daddy issues look like
- A hot-headed himbo
- He's got superpowers! Has the ability to manipulate the trajectory of anything he throws, and will eventually be able to manipulate and stop the trajectory of bullets. The more time he spends with his siblings the more power he gets
- Has been trained to fight since birth, and is one agile motherfucker
- Dating the lovelydefenderofdesmoines and they are disgusting
- One of your local law enforcement. Probably not one I would go to in an emergency but, hey, go for it
- Is heading closer to going through his fucked up canon and I'm so exciteddddddd
Sam
Samburgler. Old. Tired.
- Work in construction but not, like, building shit myself so I can ping from work fairly quickly--my slow times are Monday afternoons and now Tuesdays because I "take care of" family members. Basically I just make sure they don't choke on anything
- I'm on EST but I cannot stress to you enough how early I go to sleep and how early I wake up. I'm like a farmer only the outdoors grosses me out
- Pretty easy going, if I dropped something 'cause I fell asleep at 7pm feel free to nudge me via e-mail or on discord! Or if you want my people involved in your plots/posts just point me where to go and I will be there
- You can e-mail/dm me all you want, actually, but if I'm watching a TV show I will harass you about how you should also watch it so I have someone to talk to about it. And even if you don't watch it I will tell you my thoughts anyway to the point where you'll feel like you've watched the show. I'm pretty sure Elaine and Erin know the whole plot of Vikings via osmosis.
