You've reached Wanda Maximoff. I'm not here at the moment but if you leave a message I'll get right back to you. If this is for Avengers stuff...I think you meant to call someone else.
On Saturday, Nov 12, 2022, Steven got over dithering about it and decided there was no harm in asking. So he sent Wanda a text:
Would you like anything from home? I know our home isn't the same as yours but maybe we've things in common? Food or something you can't get in Fandom?
For their part neither Marc or Steven had noticed any significant differences. Things like sodas and crisps seemed to have the same brand names. No real issues other than British versus American products.
Actually, come to think of it -
Or from London? It's no problem.
And then, because he worried, one more text:
It's Steven, by the way. Grant.
At that point Steven put his phone away because surely he was bothering her.
Wanda was pretty amused by Steven feeling the need to say who he was--the contact was under "Steven/Marc" in her phone, but if there were any confusion about who this was or even which one of them it was, just the first text alone would have given it away.
That's very kind of you to offer! Pick me up a Crunchie and I'll be happy.
Sometime so late that in New Asgard it was probably no longer December 25, a text came through from Steven's number. In it was a picture of a table of Chinese food and the message:
Don't know what you celebrate but here we're doing Jewish Christmas so that covers loads of angles, doesn't it? Thought I'd send a photo. Let you know we're thinking about you. Hope you're all right.
PS - Marc says hi as well.
Well, Marc hadn't actually said it but Steven knew Marc would mean it all the same. Hardly stretching the truth there.
Wanda was now getting a short video of Steve smiling stiffly in front of a gorgeous, crystal blue slice of ocean wearing a pair of red, white, and blue swimming trunks because someone didn't realize this wasn't the photo setting on his phone. "Oh, I thought this was on picture!" he said. "Hey, Wanda. If you get tired of New Asgard, I recommend Indonesia. No one would ever bother you here." He grinned. "Miss you. Bye."

Can do. Let us know if you'd like anything else. We're back Tuesday so plenty of time.
Which in and of itself was probably indication enough for Wanda about which one of them was likely to be dropping it off.

Unfortunately for him, you weren't the only person getting this photo...

IMPORTANT QUESTION (OK not really) does Patriot look cute or dumb or both in this?
There is also a squeaky arrow toy if that matters

Wacky Phones 2024
Too bad the text didn't just go to Tony...

If this is some kind of awkward attempt at a come on, no thank you, that's wildly inappropriate.

I'm back on the island, and I'm sorry
It didn't feel like it covered anything, knowing the few times she'd reached out only to get nothing back.
