The Preserve | Sunday Afternoon

Wanda had been studying enough to be fairly confident she could help Jane out with training without causing a disaster on the island. Still, she was going to be as safe about this as possible, putting up a shield around their little area of the preserve not unlike the one she had created around Westview. Only, you know, smaller and not trapping people against their will.

Surely between the two of them they'd be able to handle anything that could go wrong in this scenario. Jane had the power of Thor, and Wanda was the Scarlet Witch; that had to count for something.

"It's definitely a naturally occurring smell," Jane agreed readily. Like Bigfoot!

"I'm glad we work so well together," Wanda joked. "Next time I'm putting more thought into how the dead thing will smell."

Jane had to laugh at that. "You know, it wasn't a skill I thought I'd ever need before now."

"Well that's why you practice," Wanda said. "So you don't embarrass yourself when the real thing happens."

"That's the plan," she said, taking a deep breath. "I'm going to go out and give it a try in the real world next."

"I think you'll do just fine in the real world," Wanda assured her. "Whatever it is you find yourself fighting."

So long as it wasn't fighting her. Don't go around protecting teenage girls any time soon and you should be good, Jane.

That would involve knowing Strange at all. Which seemed ridiculous.

"Really? Thanks, it's a little nerve-wracking, you know?"

"No, I get it," she said. "After my whole heel face turn and I was at the Avengers Compound with a uniform and being expected to stand beside Captain America and be a superhero I was a nervous wreck."

"How'd you manage it?" Jane asked. And don't say android boyfriend because that wouldn't help here.

[scarlet_chaos]

"My teammates. Well. Most of my teammates." Tony, you were no help. "Natasha and Vision especially, they helped me fit in."

It was almost like there was a lot of underlying bad blood there or something!

"It'd be nice if there was another team back home," Jane admitted. But that'd be saved for the next big crossover event.
